Here is the invitation to the Single Malt Scotch Tasting I
promised.
These are bottlings by Ian Macleod Distillers, which since
1936 has amassed an unrivalled cask stock from Scotland’s many distilleries.
This enviable collection includes extremely rare malts, some from closed or
mothballed distilleries. The Chieftain’s collection hallmark is that each
bottling must be fit for a King, a Leader or in the Celtic world, a Chieftain.
Ryan Kohl, a representative of importer ImPex Beverages
Inc., will be on hand to provide a colorful and interesting overview of how
this collection of rare malts came to be assembled. Chef Donnie Simmons has
prepared an equally exquisite selection of cheeses, cured meats and more to
enjoy as you taste these unique malts.
